INKspire is a youth-led nonprofit organization that aims to amplify the voices of youth by providing a safe and inclusive platform. INKspire encourages youth to take on leadership roles and share their perspectives through their writing, in an effort to tackle the under-representation of young writers in mainstream media.
INKspire was founded in 2016 through a Kickstarter campaign that accumulated a funding of over $10,000 from more than 170 backers. Thereafter, INKspire’s initiatives have assisted countless numbers of youth writers across Canada, who have contributed to INKspire’s online publication that has over 1000 articles.
As an organization dedicated to youth empowerment, we continue to provide opportunities for youth to express themselves through interactive and engaging projects with a focus on sharing their stories.
We provide opportunities to have discussions with fellow writers and gain mentorship on creative writing through programs like Write to Discover.
We help young writers across Canada share their voice through INKspire Publication (inkspire.org) where they can express themselves in a safe space.
We welcome healthy discourse and brainstorming on current issues through programs like Story Matters and INKspire Summit.
